RAINBOW CHILDREN’S ACADEMY OFFERS  THE PROGRAM PLAYING THE GAME OF LIFE

Miami, Florida, October 28th 2011. The learning center Rainbow Children’s Academy opens registration for its program Playing the Game of Life, generously funded by The Children’s Trust.  The program is free and designed for children 3 and 4 years old who attend the school. It takes place Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at 2720 W 1st Avenue, in the city of Hialeah.

Playing the Game of Lifeis a turn-key program for teaching social skills through an arts-based curriculum. Children will enjoy activities like creative movement, yoga, and rhythmic art, while parents and teachers participate in a component called Conscious Discipline ®, to further develop their communication and relationships with the children.

Playing the Game of Life is funded in part by The Children’s Trust. This organization is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.

Playing the Game of Life (PGL) programming is based on social emotional learning whose mission is to develop social skills, build positive character attributes, and promote life-long wellness through arts-based prevention programs.  Created in 2006, it is available to children, adolescents and adult groups.
